Has anyone heard anything about the revised NCLEX and its increased difficulty?  I was told as of April 2010 that it will be harder and involve more "alternative" questions?  Obviously no one has taken this version yet but has anyone heard anything about it that he/she feels to be very important?

i took my exams back in 2006 which took me around 15mins to do the exam as i only did the 75 questions

the study aid i brought was called prep in a box not sure if i got it from the nclex web site or pearson center web site

but i basically covers your entire nurse training as well as a question guide, be sure to know childhood illnesses and vaccines as you can get a few questions on that most stuff i was questioned on was basic med surg

the prep in a box was good it even tell you how you should answer the questions but i found i didnt actually need it

Best advice for anyone who has not taken it is to get it scheduled by the end of March. No sense in making it harder on yourself through procrastination.

They just upped the passing standards and updated the questions. No need to worry if you're diligent with your NCLEX Review

This may be too late, but I just took it in April and frankly, was surprised at how irrelevant it was. I studied the new NCLEX Saunders Study Guide and one other and there wasn't one question on there related to ANY of it. There were no calculations of any kind, which surprised me. I passed after 80 questions, but felt it literally had no bearing on what I have learned about being a nurse. It was possibly the most useless test I have ever taken.

Sure ? You mean everything you read from Saunders NCLEX book has no bearing? So what did come out in your NCLEX Questions?

Honestly when i took boards in April I had about 13-15 multiple multiple questions. I had a total of 85 questions and passed but I studied for about 4 weeks straight and it didn't seem to help.
