I wanted to start a health care discussion regarding what role nurses will play in the health care reform.

I think Advance Nurse Practioners should/can act as primary care provider.

I agree that we should have an improve electronic medical record - it improves patient care, communication between the various healthcare providers and eases the paper work/charting that takes so much of nurse's time. Time that can be spent with their patients.

I believe that every American should be able to get the basic care-- a lot of chronic illness can be prevented if treated earlier.

As health care providers in the forefront, what are your professional and personal thoughts about this very important issue?
