WHY THE SO-CALLED “UNLIMITED” MARKETING GIMMICK DOES NOT MAKE SENSE!

  1. We limit class sizes to 8; centers offering unlimited access have bloated class sizes, thus prejudicing those with imminent test dates;

  1. The “Unlimited” policy is misleading; students have to queue to be able to sit in, practice speaking or do exercise;

  1. Sitting-in does not promote learning; participation in class and error remediation do, which is the teaching methodology used at TCI;

  1. The “Unlimited” policy results in undisciplined test preparation habits; experience shows that having a test prep regimen and a target test date motivate performance;

  1. There is also such a thing as test prep “fatigue”-“unlimited” access can become counterproductive to a candidate’s test taking objectives.

Hmm, I've been to unlimited review in IELTS but the classes never go beyond 5 students. What review center is that?

I would agree; if you need unlimited opportunities to review the material then that might be an indication that the material is not that good - if it's not effective after one or two sessions then that should say something about it.

Many need the unlimited review option in case they are getting poor scores in the specific areas of the diagnostic for NCLEX. Remember that NCLEX is testing for different things than other local boards test for and therefore the "review" for NCLEX often must contain new material depending on what country a nurse is coming from.

Many nurses who use the unlimited review only need it to refresh a few points after the primary review is complete.

Any decent unlimited review must still contain a class structure and format; if it is unlimited review but the same material is taught every 3 classes then you are not getting anywhere. A scheduled, planned 25 day or 40 day program that is unlimited is far better as the review school is making the "unlimited" option for those students who NEED to repeat; but the focus is on getting the quality information the first time around.

Look at the school and how the curriculum is structured to see if the unlimited aspect is benefiting the student... or the school...
