Katie Morales, MSN, RN, C

Katie Morales has been a Registered Nurse since 1985. Her extensive nursing experience has focused on acute care nursing. She has served as a nursing instructor, written Policy and Procedure, and served as an item writer and reviewer for the NCLEX exam. She is certified in adult medical/surgical nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Katie received her Associates Degree in 1985 from Columbus State University in Columbus, Ga. and in 2006 she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Just recently has Katie earned her MSN at Grand Canyon University.

Katie has been a legal nurse consultant since 2005 is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She served as the 2009 president of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (Atlanta chapter). She is an author for the third edition of Legal Nurse Consulting: Principles & Practice, reviewer of Developing an Independent Legal Nurse Consulting Practice, and contributor to Emergency Nursing Bible. Katie volunteers with RN Response Network and serves on the Atlanta Bar Association Disaster Response Committee and Outreach Sub Committee. She also serves on the board of directors for the GNA and on the ad hoc committee for Nursing Practice and reference committee and ad hoc legislative committee. Katie formed the Georgia Legal Nurse Consultant Society, organizing legal nurse consultants from across the state quarterly.

Katie's current employers are Union General Hospital in Blairsville, Ga. and DisceRNment, LLC, in Ellijay, Ga. Most recently, Katie has been working with Trisha Coady, President of Medsenses, Inc., on a variety of projects to benefit nurses.
