Barbara Andresen, a native of South Florida, holds degrees in Nutrition Counseling and Dietetics from the University of Florida and the University of North Carolina. As a Registered and Licensed Dietitian, Barb was employed by Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for twelve years and notably became a Pediatric Dietitian Specialist. Joining WSWomanCare, PA in 1995 in the position of Director of Medical Nutrition Therapy, Barb began an Eating Disorder outpatient treatment program.
In 2003, Barb formed a private practice that focuses on Eating Disorder Treatment and other women’s issues. Barb has special training in the treatment of Eating Disorders and nutritional treatment of Menopause, Pregnancy and Obesity.
Because of her expertise in Eating Disorders, Barb was a keynote speaker at the International Association of Eating Disorder Professional Symposium and a featured presenter at the NC Association of Licensed Professional Counselors seminar. Barb is a member of the American Dietetic Association, North Carolina Dietetic Association and is the President of the Winston-Salem Dietetic Association. |
