Emma Bates

Having held a variety of senior nursing positions, both in the UK and in Australia, Emma has travelled extensively throughout Australia and currently works for a premier hospital in Sydney.  She has published research in the UK and in Australia, and also teaches nursing students from a diverse range of countries who have newly arrived to Australia.  As well having written research papers about overseas nurses migrating to the country, Emma also manages a website and various forums for nurses who are new arrivals.  She has co-produced an orientation CD for overseas nurses migrating to Australia and has gained an appreciation of what they need and want to know (and remembers what she wishes someone had told her when she first arrived in the country).

Emma's eBook is called Nursing in Australia: A Guide to Working and Living as a Nurse Down Under, which is a how-to-guide to working and living as a nurse in Australia.  The content is user friendly, is written for nurses by a nurse that’s done the journey before, learnt the hard way and wants to share all of the secrets with you.  This eBook will help get you informed quickly, is bursting with information, facts, hundreds of useful links, innovative ideas, top tips and has the addresses and phone numbers you need to make it happen quickly and smoothly.  Never before has all of this information existed in one place before….until now.
